piLLai lOkAchAryar is clarifying that doubt.
ingu svaprayOjanam engiRadhu – ASraya dhOsha janyamAnaththai.
Here [in AzhwArs’ case], svaprayOjanam is the self-interest which was caused by the defect in the entity.
That is – while explaining the different types of unfavourable persons, svaprayOjanam indicates the self-interest which was caused by defects such as ignorance etc in the chEthana (sentient being) who is the abode of the experience [of bhagavAn] and service [to bhagavAn]. Since, here it is separated as “ASraya dhOsha janyam”, the self-interest in AzhwArs is caused by the defect [greatness] of bhagavAn. This is explicitly explained by piLLai lOkAchAryar in sUthram 272 “vishaya dhOshaththAl varumavai …“.
